KIPP COLUMBUS
As of March 26, KIPP Columbus reported that
25,000+ meals have been distributed to their community's children and $20,000 raised to support these efforts
$50,000 in grocery gift cards have been secured for their families that will be distributed in care packages next month
They requested help from the community and they answered in a big way -- donations large and small came in, allowing KIPP quickly to fill in the food and technology gap created by kids being out of school
A KIPP Columbus COVID-19 website launched
Over 700 computers were distributed to students with another 1,300 set to be deployed in the next week
Their teachers and leaders have launched remote (online) learning for nearly 2,000 students
